Hey, this movie is free On Demand, and so that's the first thing it's got going for it. The second is that it's actually funny at times. It suffers from some really, really lame acting. But the two main characters are fun.

Of course, hands down my favorite guy in this movie is Dr. Rick. In fact, I think I'm going to start a Dr. Rick fan club. This guy is a grade-A pompous, collar poppin' loser, and man does he have some great one-liners. And he has the most wonderful taste in music. The younger generation might not get it, but Dr. Rick listens to stuff that was considered sincerely lame when I was in high school. For example, he claims that Chumbawamba is the soundtrack to his life.

Yes, some of the jokes in this movie flop big-time, but others are dead-on. I love when the cheerleaders are watching Bring It On at the outdoor theater, and they're all in unison running the lines from the movie word-for-word. Awesome.

You'll like this movie if you like fluff entertainment that will kill a couple of hours. There is absolutely no depth to it. It's frankly not that great overall. But there are funny moments that make it a guilty pleasure.

Diagnosis: Thumbs marginally up

I remember seeing the trailer for this a long time ago. It didn't stand out to me in any way, shape, or form. It had direct-to-video written all over it. It reminded me of one of the four (yes I said four) direct-to-video American Pie "sequels." It just didn't look all that good.

And truth be told, it really wasn't all that good. Several of the supporting characters were pretty painful to watch. But then came a few more, which were surprisingly funny.

Take the guy who played "Dr. Rick" for example. Imagine the evil boyfriend in these types of movies. You know the one who is such a massive tool you want to slug him? Ok, well keep that in mind, but think of someone playing it to such an absurd level he reminds you out of a Johnny Bravo episode. This guy alone made the movie worth watching. I've never heard of David Walton, but I will keep my eye out for him in the future. The guy had me in tears as this character.

Eric Christian Olsen (of Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd fame) is even fairly amusing. Sure he's trying to do his best Steve Stiffler impression, but it kind of worked. Ignore the fact that he's like 30 and playing a highschool student.

Though her actual screen-time is limited, AnnaLynne McCord was pretty good as the captain of the rival team. She would have easily fit into Mean Girls.

If nothing else, this movie was good for staring a girls in cheerleader outfits for an hour and a half. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afernoon.

Rating: Thumbs up.
