What he said:

Afer having recently (and unfortunately) having watched a Wes Anderson movie, I needed to watch someone I know I'd enjoy.

I hadn't seen this one in a while, so I popped it into the DVD player. I don't know if I'm rating this too high or what, but I honestly can't think of anything that was seriously wrong with this movie. Seriously. I'm stumped trying to find something even as I write this.

This movie is an interesting blend of some really dark, tense moments, and some really funny one's too. The humor is mixed up nicely too. There's some really basic, innocent stuff from Abigail Breslin, and also more dry, sarcastic stuff from some of the other adults. To downright vulgar from Alan Arkin.

It's not directed by anyone of any real notoriety. It's also not particularly long, so it's not epic or anything. But it's just really well done from top to bottom. It's a small movie, but has a really big heart.

Rating: Thumbs way up.
